Mock API terms of use
These terms apply to the hosted mock API at api.pes.elpagesweb.com and its page /mock-api. By creating or using an API you accept them. Last reviewed: October 2026.
1. The service
A free tool, run by the owner named in the legal notice (#elPagès), to create fake REST APIs for developing and testing apps. It is offered as it is, with no guarantee of availability and no service level. We may change it, limit it, pause it or end it at any time, and we will say so on this page.
2. Who may use it
Anyone aged 14 or over. If you use it for an organisation, you accept these terms on its behalf.
3. Fictitious data only
Store only invented or sample data. You must not store or send:
- personal data of real people (names with contact details, identity numbers, health data, images of people), passwords, keys or other credentials, or payment details;
- illegal content of any kind, or content that infringes intellectual property or other rights;
- malware, links to malware, phishing, spam, or content that incites violence or hatred.
4. Uses that are not allowed
- Using it as file storage, a content delivery network, a dead drop or to exfiltrate data.
- Getting around the limits (for example, creating APIs automatically or from many networks), load or stress testing, or any use that degrades the service for others.
- Attempting to access APIs you were not given, or to probe or attack the service.
5. Who can see your API
An open or read-only API can be read by anyone who has its URL; an open API can also be changed by them. A private API needs its write key. The edit token lets whoever has it change and delete the API: keep it and the key secret. You are responsible for what is done with the credentials you share.
6. Limits and deletion
The limits on the tool page apply. An API is deleted automatically 30 days after its last change and, in any case, 180 days after it was created. You can delete it at any time. There are no backups: export your API to keep a copy.
7. Reports and moderation
We do not monitor the content of APIs in general. Anyone can report an API with the report form or by email; we review reports without undue delay. When reports arrive from several different networks, the API is suspended automatically until it is reviewed. We may suspend or delete an API, or limit a network, when it breaks these terms or the law. A suspended API answers with the reason. If you disagree with a decision about your API, write to us and we will review it. If we learn of content that may involve a criminal offence threatening someone's life or safety, we will inform the authorities.
8. Contact point
For users and for authorities: appsdelpages@gmail.com, in Catalan, Spanish or English.
9. Liability
As a hosting service, we are not liable for the content users store as long as we have no actual knowledge of it being unlawful and act promptly once we do. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of data, interruptions or damage arising from the use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, nor your rights as a consumer.
10. Privacy
What is stored and for how long is explained in the privacy policy.
11. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. They are governed by Spanish law, and any dispute will go to the courts that apply under consumer protection rules.
